Test the Limits of Your Short-Term Memory

Simon Says is a digital version of the iconic 1978 pattern-matching game. It’s a deceptively simple test of cognitive endurance that challenges your brain’s ability to store and recall expanding sequences of visual and auditory information. As the speed increases and the patterns lengthen, you'll feel your mental focus truly put to the test.

Why this game is fun?

There is a unique tension that builds with every new step added to the sequence. The game creates a powerful rhythmic trance as you repeat the flashes and sounds. Reaching higher levels provides a great sense of mental accomplishment, as if you’ve "unlocked" a higher level of concentration within yourself.

How to Play

Click "Start" to begin. Simon will play a sequence of lights and sounds. Watch carefully! Once Simon is done, you must repeat the sequence exactly as shown by clicking the colored panels. Each successful round adds one more step to the sequence and slightly increases the speed.

Memory Enhancement Techniques:

  • Chunking: Don't try to memorize every single click individually. Try to group them into small patterns or "shapes" across the board.
  • Mental Mapping: Give each color a name or a number in your head (1, 2, 3, 4). Saying the sequence out loud or in your mind can help reinforce the memory.
  • Rhythm Recognition: Focus on the timing of the flashes. Simon often creates a distinct rhythm that is easier to remember than the colors themselves.
